Past Events - 2006
6th Annual Golf Fundraiser
Brooklake Country Club
Thursday, September 21st, 2006 - 10:00 am
This year we held our 6th annual golf fundraiser at the Brooklake Country Club on September 21st, 2006.
More then 25 golfers participated in the outing which raised over twenty two hundred dollars and benefited several New Jersey charities.
Prizes were awarded to the top ten golfers with the best scores.
Once again, our success for the event was due to the efforts of our club members, hole sponsors, and golfers. Thanks everyone for all the help!
50/50 Raffle

To Benefit Local Charities
Drawing on Thursday, September 14th, 2006 - 7:00 pm
Our 50/50 Raffle was held on September 14th, 2006 at 7:00pm at Billy and Madeline's Red Room.
This fundraising event raised sixteen hundred dollars, half of which went to help local charities in the Hanover area of New Jersey. The lucky winner was who received a check for $800.00. Congratulations!
I would like to thank all of our dedicated members who helped make this fundraising event a success!
Hanover Township Appreciation Day
Malapardis Park, Hanover NJ
Saturday, September 9th, 2006 - 1:00 pm
The Kiwanis Club of the Hanovers participated in the Hanover Township Appreciation Day on Saturday, September 21st, 2006.
Our club setup a table in the park and donated 1000 Asbury Park style pretzels for the visitors of the event.
We would like to thank Joan Bedkowski and her husband for picking up the pretzels.
As always, the event was possible because of the dedication and commitment of our club members.
3rd Annual Bowl-A-Thon
To Benefit the Jersey Battered Women's Services
Hanover Bowling Lanes
Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006 - 6:30 pm
This year we challenged the Kiwanis Club of Parsippany and the NJ Aktion Club in a bowling tournament to raise money for the Jersey Battered Women's Services of Morris County.
Over 30 bowlers participated in the multi-game tournament which raised more then $600 for the NJ charity.
The Kiwanis Club of the Hanovers managed to beat the other clubs and take home the trophy.
A special thanks to Mike Dunn, Manager of Hanover Lanes for donating the bowling shoes and the lanes for the event.
As always, thanks to the bowlers for making this an enjoyable and successful fundraiser.
Allegro School: Program for Autism
125 Ridgedale Ave, Cedar Knolls
January, 2006
A donation was made to the Allegro School for $1100 to purchase new computers for three of their group homes in Morris County.
About the Allegro School
The Allegro School was established to provide quality education, keep autistic children with their families, and prepare them for community living. The school serves approximately 105 students ages 3-21 from 10 counties in Northern and Central New Jersey. Approximately 75 children and adults are served though our outreach, respite, and adult services departments.
